Prof. Dr. med. Friedemann Nauck is a medical specialist in palliative medicine and in pain therapy. Since 1992, he researches in the field of pain therapy and palliative medicine. In October 2006, he became professor of Palliative Medicine and director of the Department of Palliative Medicine at the University of Göttingen. In addition, he overtook the position of executive director at the Centre of Anaesthesiology, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care, at the University of Göttingen in 2009.
