Derya Er studied Law at the University of Göttingen from November 2005 until March 2011 and passed her first state examination with distinction. She has chosen Criminal Law and Criminal Justice as specialization and focused on Criminal Procedure Law and Medical Law. As of April 2011, Derya Er is working as Research Assistant under the direction of Prof. Dr. Gunnar Duttge in the subproject Legal Theory/Medical Law. This subproject deals with "Trust in the Law" as a form of system trust, drawing on the example of Medicine and its fields of application.
